360° Virtual Tour For Real Estate Marketing

360° VIRTUAL TOUR FOR REAL ESTATE MARKETING AND SHOWROOMS

ABOUT

This 360° Virtual Tour was developed as a creative study and R&D project, based on a previously completed 3D animation for a 3-storey, 3-bedroom semi-detached home .

The goal was to take an already finished interior visualization project and transform it into an interactive experience that could be easily integrated into a real estate website and used by developers for marketing and sales.

OBJECTIVE

The main goal of this R&D case was to test a new production pipeline for 360° tours that would:

  • Reduce rendering time compared to traditional render-farm workflows;
  • Maintain a high level of visual quality suitable for marketing;
  • Deliver a ready-to-embed solution that real estate developers can host on their own servers without ongoing technical support.

SCOPE & TECHNICAL SETUP

The final tour consists of 34 POVs, all connected with interactive transitions that let the user move naturally between rooms and floors. The virtual tour is hosted on the same server as the website and is fully accessible on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

The interior model was created in 3ds Max with Corona Renderer, and then the scene was exported to Chaos Vantage to optimise rendering time. All panoramas were rendered at 6K resolution, ensuring high clarity and flexibility for different screen sizes.

Floor plans were additionally rendered and redrawn for the tour interface, allowing users to have a better visual experience when navigating the plan.

WORKFLOW & INNOVATION

Instead of using external render farms, this R&D approach focused on real-time and near-real-time rendering through Chaos Vantage. This allowed:

  • Faster iterations on lighting, materials, and camera positions;
  • Significantly reduced total rendering time for all 34 panoramas;
  • Full in-house control over the entire production process.

Vegetation and exterior views outside the windows were enhanced with AI tools, adding depth and atmosphere without heavy manual matte painting. All panoramas went through final color correction in Photoshop to achieve consistent tone, contrast, and color balance.

DELIVERY & IMPACT FOR DEVELOPERS

The final 3D Virtual Tour is delivered as a .rar archive containing an HTML page and a folder with all assets. The client uploads the contents to their server via FTP and instantly gets a working 3D Tour on their website – with no extra coding, plugins, or maintenance required from their web team.
